Prevention of Post-partum Hemorrhage
The Sudanese American Medical Association (SAMA), Sadagaat Charity Group, and the Obstetrical and Gynecological Society of the Sudan (OGSS) have engaged in a collaborative project “Prevention and Treatment of Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH)”.
The general objectives of this project are to provide continuous medical education, establish and maintain advanced midwifery training program in the prevention and treatment of postpartum hemorrhage and to deliver aids to midwives working in areas of high maternal mortality rate due to postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) in Sudan.
The PPH Project is an educational and humanitarian project for the prevention and treatment of postpartum hemorrhage -Bleeding after Birth (BAB) in underserved rural areas in Sudan. The project aims to train village midwives in the management of BAB to reduce maternal mortality and birth complications due to postpartum hemorrhage in Sudan.
